2016 The Colorado Springs School Model United Nation's Meet
On Friday, January 22 and Saturday January 23, The Colorado Springs School will be hosting our 5th Model United Nations Conference. Our CSS MUN team is proud to be hosting such a diverse conference with twenty schools within our region, including Wyoming and New Mexico, as well as a group of students from Turkey. Our delegates and presiding officers alike have worked hard to bring this conference to life and fulfill our aspiration of hosting an international meet. As in years past, our councils are focused on Africa, acknowledging our sister school relationship with Fongo Tongo in Cameroon. This web page has all the information and resources necessary for the council. If you have any questions regarding the conference, please feel free to contact our sponsor David Benson via email, [email protected].
Message from Secretary-General
Hello, I am Elena M-V, the Secretary-General of The Colorado Springs School's Model UN team. It has been such a rewarding experience to see this conference come to life, and I am so excited to see the outcome tomorrow. A lot of hard work was put into making this conference possible, and I would like to thank everyone in the Model UN team who helped with this process and also our sponsors, Ms. Hunter and Mr. Benson. Planning this conference was truly a team effort, and the whole team is very excited to host our fifth Model UN conference. We would like to welcome all 18 schools attending from around the region but also extend a special welcome to the Adapazari Özel School from Istanbul, Turkey. This is the first time in Colorado MUN history that an international school will be participating, and the CSS MUN team is honored to have this opportunity. I wish all the delegates participating tomorrow good luck and welcome anyone to come observe!
